Hello Amber et al.

I am also a Marine Wife. I have two children. They are 7 and 9 years old. We are currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Just arrived on island about a week and a half ago. Still dont have a vehicle so we are getting a little cabin feverish. But I hear once I have a vehicle and can wonder around I will love it. This place reminds me a lot of Mexico. I am Mexican raised in southern California. So anyone still stationed here and either living near Courtney or McT give me a shout. :)

I've been married to my Marine for a bit over five years now and we have two daughters, one who is four and one just over 5 months. We were stationed in Miramar for the first bit of our marriage but he was deployed for a lot of that and I ended up going back home to Oregon while he was overseas and never really connected with anyone on base there. Next we spent three years in Iwakuni, Japan, which was really isolated but I ended up getting to know a lot more people and my daughter made a lot of friends. We just settled in Pensacola where he's training to be an instructor and are living off base for the first time since getting married, and it's different.

I personally do pretty well being some what isolated. I have a lot of hobbies and don't really need a lot of "grown up" time, just a short break here and there. My daughter, on the other hand, was spoiled by the amount of kids her age on the last base and I know she gets lonely here. There just aren't a ton of preschoolers in our neighborhood or if they are here they don't come outside much.

Hi, I'm Tiffanie my husband been in the marine corp for 12 years gone threw plenty deployments and Duty Stations now on or 3rd one. It's a great life jsut make the most of it. Your friend becoem your family quick you share a bond like no other.

My Name is Samantha have been with my Marine for almost 3 yrs and we just got Married in Feb! We have an 19 month old Daughter named Alexis! We are expecting a second one due in October! We were stationed in Beaufot, SC at the Air Station but we moved out here to Maryland in 2009 for Recruiters Duty! One of the hardest jobs in the military, we are here till 2012! Dont know where we are going next!

Hello Ladies!!! So nice to see so many Marine Wives....we seem to be the minority here. Clearly, I'm the old lady of the group. My husband has served longer than many, maybe most of you have been alive! 30 years! WOW! It's great that you can connect with each other as you're experiencing teh life of being married to a Marine....but if you'd like to hear from someone that can look back with the gift of hindsight.....I'm happy to share. Hello to all at Camp Pend....we were stationed there twice....spent at least 10 years there collectively. I sometimes miss it....but love it here for our boys now.

Hi! Im a Marine wife stationed in Cheyenne WY for recruiting duty. We have a 2 month old. Parenting on recruiting duty is miserable.. if at all possible he should avoid recruiting. We moved here from Yuma AZ where he was previously stationed. Where are yall moving to?

Let me just say all you Camp Pendleton, Miramar, & MCRD families make me miss Cali even more. Hello my name is Andrea we were stationed in sunny SD, but moved 3 weeks ago to Richmond VA. If anyone is in the area or an hour or less lets chat play dates etc.. So far I see lots or Army and other branches on here. We are not attached to any base so I am on my own as far as meeting people and networking. : ( I have 2 kids 2 and 7yrs old and is happily married. My hubby is recruiting here for 3yrs, and then it will be off to our next duty station. Totally miss the west coast, but this is what I signed up for. Hope to meet some cool moms on here.
