Hi I am new to the area and we live on Peterson, I am also a new mom. My son is 2mths old and I would love to meet other moms and make some friends.

on Facebook you can look up Peterson Playgroup. It's for kids 0-6 but many of us have kids older than that too.

Hi, My husband is stationed at Peterson AFB. I have a 4 yo and 15mo. We live on base so it's nice so far. The kids and I have been here since February and hubby has been here since Oct 2009. I had to stay behind because I had my daughter and he left a week later to come out here.

hi, we just got to colorado springs.
my husband is in the army and we have a 5 year old girl and a 19 month old boy.
just stopped my the bx on peterson. its very nice.
we live very far south of marksheffel and fontaine.
great new neighborhood.

i'm here in the springs. husband is army- fort carson- we're near fountain and murray :) we do all our grocery shopping at the commissary at peterson because it's closer and it's nicer lol hope you adjust okay- i've lived here for over 15 years myself, and still hate how everyone else drives lol i don't get it lol

I dont think I know where Peterson is...
Im at the OTHER end of Powers at Powers and Grinnell.
I dont mind Powers too much even going all the way down there EXCEPT between like 2-4 going North bc Eeeeeveryone is leaving Base!! :/

Ashely, Oh I know!! It drives me crazy that there are all these fatalities yet these people still drive like crazy people. I live off of Powers and Stetson Hills and I try to avoid Powers at all costs. I usually go down Peterson because there is no traffic! ;-)

Aww...Well Congratulations and good luck with getting her here early :)
(oh and your comment about the drivers...I Totally agree and it scares me especially bc my husband rides and I swear at least once a week theres a motorcyclist hit or killed..Horrible!! :/)

Hi Ashley, My son just turned 1 and I have a daughter due January 6th (though Im hoping she comes a little early!). Im glad you are liking it out here. I can't wait to do outdoor stuff this spring and summer!!

My family and I just moved here in April and so far we love it!
My husband is Navy and works in the Mountain.
We live right on the edge of the Springs and Fountain.
We have two little girls 5 and 2 1/2.
Is your little boy your only child? How old is he?

My husband just PCS'd from Fort Carson which is the Army base about 10 min away from Peterson AFB. Loved Colorado!
