We just moved here 4 weeks ago and husband deployed last week. All my family is on the west coast and I don't know anyone in this area. I have a 4yr old and 9mo. I'd love to meet some fun ladies in the area that would like to meet up at local parks/beaches/picnics for some playdates.

Friday sounds great! there are usually a lot more people at the park on Fridays also.

I actually haven't been to the zoo yet here. My kids would love it. Tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be good weather. Any day really works for me except Thursday morning I have a Dr. app. What day are you thinking about going?

I am still learning the names of places. Im not sure where Willoughby Bay is, but I take my daughter to the park by the zoo all the time ( I live only a few minutes away off Granby street). Im actually thinking of taking her to the zoo this week,been wanting to take her to ride the train. Meeting up sounds great!

Hi Kim. I work from home so I usually try to get it done at night when the kids are sleeping. I've been trying to get out everyday to a different park or beach - especially since the weather has been so nice! Do you live in military housing? We're in Willoughby Bay and I like it here so far.
If you and your baby want to meet up at a park somewhere just let me know! I don't really know too many parks around here except Mt Trashmore and the park near the zoo :)

Hey Maria . I have been here since September. welcome! my hubby is stationed here in Norfolk as well. We have a 11month old ( turning one next month). I am a stay at home mom (seeking employment). In the mean time though, its just me and my baby girl. I enjoy taking her out to do fun stuff while my hubby is on deployment. i would love to meet some other moms and set up a group/playdates. how do you like it here so far?
