Hi. My husband is in the Army and we live in Newport News. We moved here last summer and I haven't had a chance to meet a lot of people. I have 3 kids ages 11, 10, and soon to be 5. I am a stay at home mom and I am hoping to go back to school in the fall when my youngest can go to school. I would love to get out and find a walking partner or just some friends. lol. Where in NN are you? We may be neighbors! haha

lol, My hubby was supposed to leave with the Truman. They told us this month that he couldn't go. It was a total shock, i mean we had everything set. but really it is a wonderful shock because he'll be here for the birth of our daughter. I have a couple friends with hubby's that left on the Truman as well. lol and we all have kids around 2. If you ever want to talk send me an email.

Hi Krystina! We're in Va Beach. Hubby is a Corpsmen currently in A School (graduates in 11 days!) and coming here to a C School out in Portsmouth... We're hoping to get stationed here after but who knows... Hubby left when our baby boy was just a month old... he's almost 7 months now. Not many friends completely understand the Navy life so that compiled with being a mommy... It gets so friggin lonely! So I'm totally open to new friends! Lol... I noticed we're practically the same age too... So how have you been keeping busy so far? My mom and stepdad are still in the navy too... Stepdad is deployed on the Ike and mom is out in Bahrain until at least August... anyway... hope to hear back from you!

I'm in Florida now (left Va in October)but my son, almost 3, absolutely love the aquarium the have a trail you can walk through that has huts and stuff for the kids to run through and then they have a huge playroom and obviously the have some amazing fish. Then there was the botanical gardens which sounds boring but they have an amazing kid play area with a splash area and they have a butterfly garden and lots of areas for picnics or just letting the kids run around and get out some energy.

hi krystina, I've been here since march of 2009 so I know exactly how you feel. My husband is on the iwo jima, lol, lindsay and I are actually friends :P Anyhow, so I have a 3 1/2 month old son, and I live in chesapeake but I'm going to be moving to norfolk in may. I know it's hard feeling removed from everyone because of where you live too, that's been one of the hardest things for me. Lately I've been going stir crazy with my husband being gone so much, so I'm on the lookout for some new friends too! I've been to a lot of places around here since I did a lot before I had Karter, so I have a few ideas of things to do during the summer that don't cost an arm and a leg! But I hope being on here at least makes things easier for you! I know it's nice to at least have someone to talk to! I'm also available anytime if you ever want to talk or maybe hang out!

Hey Krystina ~ We just moved to Norfolk in Feb! My husband is stationed on the Iwo Jima (lhd 7). We have a little boy who will be 2 in July also :) I have made some good friends here with little ones so if you would like to come and hang out sometime I will let you know what we are up to. We like to go to Mt. Trashmore or apark near one of our houses. When the pool opens up we are going to spend lots of time there and at the beach :) We were also looking into water parks, we just like to hang out and let the children play :) I love meeting new people and my hubby is going to be deployed soon, so I'm going to need my girlfriends to keep me busy...

Yeah its really hard to make friends here. I dont really know what is out there to do. Other then the zoo and the Living Museum. I know how boring it can get being at home all the time. I am a stay at home mom as well and I love it!! If you want to talk or hang out some time let me know and I can give you my number.
