Im thinking of starting a support group since there arent many that cater to the daily needs of spouses who are unemployed, with children at home, depressed, feeling alone and no support system. I have been on this island for almost a year...Let me know. Thanks

Hubby got stationed out here in May '08. We're actually in Wahiawa (the side towards North Shore) and hubby's stationed at Wheeler AAF, right next to Schofield.

I don't know how to really get one started so if someone wants to put one together I think it would be a great idea.

Hey Everyone, I am so estatic to see all of your replies. We are stationed near Pearl Harbor base and I live across from the Honolulu airport. I have a 8 year old boy, 6 year old girl and a 8 month old boy. I am definitely looking to establish bonds with women. You can find me on facebook by my eamil address which is Sailorwifey03@yahoo.com or you can email me there as well.

If you like sunny warm weather all the time, then yeah.

I just have to say being stationed there must be a treat. I'm in Canada and we are posted to the middle of the Prairies. The temp here goes down to -45 degrees CELSIUS in the winter. There has to be some real benefits of living in Hawaii, no?

Maybe we should try to form a playgroup or something? I've lived in Honolulu for about alittle over a year.

Hi! I've lived here in Honolulu for a little or a year now and have meet no one really. My husband is stationed at Pearl Harbor and we in base housing. I have a 2 year old daughter. I know there are some play groups around here. You can go to meetup.com and it will show you all of them. I haven't been to any yet but it's a way to meet some other moms. They even have a military mom's group.

Hi Racquel - Where do you live? My husband recently deployed and I am currently in charge of the FRG with his unit. I understand how hard it must be moving here and then not being able to find a group that supports your needs. email me and maybe we can find a way to meet up. I have a 10 mo old and work as a call in. my email is chanelle.s.cadiz@gmail.com maybe the other ladies would love to join up and meet.

My husband and I have been here a year and a half. I have made some friends but most work during the day. We live on K-Bay and my husband is getting ready for a 8 month deployment. We have 2 children a 3 1/2 year old son and a 5 month old daughter. It would be great to have some more girl friends.
