I'm a AF wive, newly "replanted" in Biloxi at Keesler AFB, we were in Little Rock for almost 4 years and at Dyess for 2 years before that. Anyone here at Keesler? We just moved into Bayridge, like it so far, but my 6 yo daughter is desperate to make some friends :o)

Kenyatta-my AF BFF is living near FWB, her hubby is at Hurby. She is a military brat herself but call the area "home" so she was happy to go back.

I am very late in the game of posting BUT....new air force wife HERE, my husband went straight from BMT and Tech to his first tour in Korea (where he currently is now). When he gets home next year July 2011 we are moving to Hickam AFB. Hopefully some other af wives on here see that, lol. Look me up on facebook, I would love to get to know some more af wives.

I've been an Air Force wife for 3 years, we're stationed at Langley AFB, Va. My husband just came home in march from his 2nd deployment. When he left I was 7 months pregnant so he just met our son Jude march 28th and reuntied with our oldest son Logan. My husband is Security Forces so he deploys quite a bit anywhere from 6 months or more.

I'm a new Air Force but not new to the military. My baby girl is 4 months old and I am stationed at Wright-Patt which is our first base. And to anybody getting stationed at McChord, I'm jealous. That was our first pick and where our entire family is, however, like my husband says, this isn't a job its an adventure. :)

wow i'm feeling very old- AF 25 years- i wont let him retire till they were all in college- our three kids, now 24(married), 22 and 20 now he can retire "2011", in the middle east for 105 more days and working still on his degree, i just started college too, plenty of pcsing in those 25, you know the stories your parents told about how hard their lives where when they were a kid 50 miles walking to school lol well the af has really grown up and with lots of help for moving your family from base to base- one thing to do for all with kids- get a record of (not just what you paid) but a full write record of what dental work was done on each child and yourself- trust me you will not remember alway alway hand carry with medical records and check for the exams both teeth and any others too. Hand carry this info! yes we have computer that are to do this- trust even the computer will lose data! lol

Congratulations on your new baby! So fantastic! But crew chiefs work right alongside avionics, so long hours are common for them both unfortunately! Working at least 12's is the norm! Glad your hubby got some time off to enjoy the little one :)

Quoting Julianne:

Currently stationed in Aviano AFB, Italy. Have 2 more years left. Husband had tech. school for 9 months in Wichita Falls, TX(lived there off base for that) and lucked out & got Aviano as our first duty station! Husband is avionics tech....been on 3 TDY's so far, no deployments. Deployments are sure to come up soon though, it is the military after all :)
Any Overseas military ppl, give me a holler & feel free to add me :)

That is the same with us. We got Kadena AB, Okinawa Japan right off the bat. My husband is a crew chief. He deploys next year and has been tdy once. Missed out on this deployment and a few tdys this past couple months though since we had our baby.

Welcome to the insanity! Haha, I'm new to it all too. Just relocated to Monterey, California but I like it out here a lot. It's just me and our one year old a lot of the day but while my husbands in training for his occupation we have a little time in the evenings and on weekends together.
