Are we Overly Sensitive Military Wives?

So, one of my authors on our blog wrote about a Facebook group called "Overly Sensative Military Wives" which is basically a raunchy but hilarious facebook page dedicated making fun of military spouse stereotypes.

The entire thing has gotten a bit out of control. It's kind of a Basewives vs. OSMW thing, and I've gone as far as supporting the author in hosting a petition against Cyber Bullying.

I don't know though, I'm torn. What do you guys think? Is this actually cyber bullying, or is it just opt-in humor?

But I do believe cyber bullying, for what it is, is a horrible thing and am asking that you support our cuase by signing our petition! Our petition is not meant to stop anyone or shut anything down, it's simply to raise awareness.

Are we out of line?

As someone who was in and as a military spouse I thought it was halarious. I have met the spouses who are way way to sensitive. On the other hand, there are wives who aren't. It's like any other group there are always going to be extremes. I think it's wrong for a bit of humor to be taken so badly.

I think when you have a place for people to express their opinions there will always be disagreements. If you feel personally offended by some of it then it is your right to say something just like they have a right to their opinion. I guess just agree to disagree.

I think some people are way to overly sensitive! I tend to have a pretty dry sense of humor and have been known to say things and have people get offended, mainly bc they didnt understand the humor.

Im also apart of that OSMW page and though I may not agree with EVERY post (like on every page youre apart of) it isnt made out to be a personal attack on these women that get outraged by it! Do some people take it to far, sure, but thats their own personal doing and the page shouldnt be held responsible for that! To some peoples surpise, those people exist and bully others with or without the pages on fb!
