hey everyone i finally found a computer lol.. we have been spending alot of time with family.. like i hope the rest of yall are.. i would like to meet up with one of yall... i really need a babysitter for the 4th my husband has an ultra sound at the hospital on fort bragg my oldest will be in school but i still have my 3 and 2 year old.. and with a man having an ultra sound without me having to go into it yall know its important.. is anyone up for watching my little ones even if its just at the park at fort bragg?? please someone let me know and we can meet up on the 3rd of Jan..

Welcome Tamesha! All of us are gonna be meeting up in January, after everyone comes back from xmas leave. I think I'm the only one not going anywhere 'cause my husband's having to pull duty during the holiday leave period. Good to have you here, and hope you enjoy NC during your stay! :D

I don't mind at all Mandy, I'm 24, and no, I didn't go to Hoke High...I went to Union Pines High over in Cameron, NC...I lived in Carthage since I was about 11.

Megan, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I'm 25, and I've lived in Raeford since I was 10. Did you go to Hoke High School?

As for everyone else, why not set something up like the second week of January so that everyone has a chance to recover from xmas, leave, and new year's?

i'm from Camden, GA.. very very south of GA.. now if we want to go into where all my kids were born its funny to see people's faces.. i had one in GA, i had one in NH, i had another one in Japan and now i'm having this one in NC.. my oldest daughter isn't my husband's but you wouldn't know it because she was 6months old when we got together and 8months old when we married*no he wasn't military at this time he joined almost a year later* but yeah my life since my husband has been a long story lol..

LoL Megan! I can't wait to meet everyone either, but it's going to have to be in late January or later. I would love to meet you tomorrow Ashley, but my little guy has a cold. : ( So we'll be staying indoors until this passes. man you know the last time i sat down and had an adult conversation.. but i can do monday before i leave.. but it would have to be the afternoon because we have doctors appointment for the kids tomorrow, they aren't sick just have to update the EFMPS.. so they can try to send us back over seas.. WHY!!!!! i just got back from doing 3years in Japan.. lol.. but let me know i will be checking this through out the day.

Well I can offer mine up. I have a back yard that some of the older ones can run around in, older kids that live next door so if it's after school, they can hang out, and plus since my hubby is a game fanatic, I have a couple of gaming systems they can play if it's too cold outside to play.

How about we meet up after xmas? For those of us who aren't going anywhere, we can meet up the following Monday, and sorta make it a regular "hen fest" from there on out? Say, like on a day of the week that works best for everyone?

If that's ok with ya'll, lemme know, and I'll post directions to my house. It isn't far from base and from Cameron, if you head through Aberdeen, it wouldn't be that far either (my family lives in Carthage, that's how I know the area lol).

A meetup at someone's house sounds good to me too! I would offer mine, but I'm staying with parents while my guy is gone, and they live out in the middle of nowhere, and there's not a lot of play room inside.. So.. when and where should we meet?

i don't have extremely small children*infants* but i'm 6months pregnant and i don't want to be out in this either lol.. does anyone know how hot it is in Okinawa, Japan we were lucky if we seen the 50s and it was always in the 100s in the summer time.. and now we are here.. after 3 years there here.. is such a change!! but let me know if anything happens?? i need to destress..

thats sounds great! Some of our little ones are a little too small for the park but we can always meet up and the kids can all meet and play as well as all of us meeting and possibly do dinner or something? Everyone could make a dish or something?

Wow! I live in Raeford too! Are you in off post housing or over in Heritage Village? That's where I'm at. I'd love to get out and meet some more mothers with small children...my little girl is going 5 months now.



And Ashley, I have a van that can fit 7 people, so I can always swing by and pick you up if any of us want to meet.



As for leave...well, my husband's leave was revoked. It's the first time everyone in his unit is getting a chance to go home and see family in 6 months...they were on a complete "no leave" status for awhile. Since he got con leave for a hand surgery, he has to stay back and pull Armory duty. So if any wants to meet up before or after the holidays, I'm all for it.



And it'll be nice to talk to wives with children that have had, or currently dealing with their husband being deployed. I know next to nothing about what happens to us when they leave lol.



Oh! And about doing things that don't cost money, why not get together at one of our houses? Like I said before, I have no problem running around and picking people up all in the name of meeting and hanging out with more wives/moms in the area!

Hey ladies! My husband is deployed also Katie, so I know how you feel! Do you work? I do not, so until the 29th of this month, I'm pretty much free anytime to get together. The 29th, I'm going to visit my sister (whose husband is also gone) for about 3-4 weeks.. but I would love to meet you! How about coffee sometime?
Ashley, like I said, I'm leaving after Christmas, but when I get back, I would definitely like to meet you as well! I'm sure we can find something to do.. maybe go to Barnes and Noble and hang out in the kids section? : )
Or if both of you would like to get together all at once, I would like that as well! Just let me know!

hey well i got enough kids for all of us.. lol.. i live over in Cameron about 30mins away from base.. stupid i know.. well i have a 5 and 3 year old girl, a 2 year old boy*he is so acting it!* and i'm 6months pregnant with another girl.. my poor husband lol.. but to get out would be nice.. i don't know anyone.. and my 2 kids are always wanting to go to the park since the older one is in school.. but the thing is we only have one van so sometimes i don't have it.. so maybe we should try to plan something after xmas because i leave next week for home.. and will be there until the 1st.. anyone else have plans? and the funny thing is i need time to myself.. going crazy.. lol... but i don't do clubing, i don't drink of course.. once you get to know me you will be telling me to shut up! lol.. but at first i don't talk to much.. and well i don't have money as you can see to be going all over the place or to places that cost alot.. so any ideas on that?? HAHA if i told my husband i was going out with a group of girls or just the fact i'm going out of the house he may kick me out and lock the door lol to make sure i go..
