My husband is going to be stationed at Ft. Meade in January. When he was stationed there before, we lived in Annapolis. We liked the area but the housing was soooooooo cruddy... I swear the houses were held together by twenty layers of paint and black mold.
This time, we're thinking about living on post at Ft. Meade but of course I have my concerns. Our children are now 4 1/2 and 3... our 3 yr old has Autism... I have no idea how the schools are for the base housing there... And I am concerned about the special education programs at the schools there (well, I'm concerned about them no matter where we're living).
Any advice? I'm really hesitant to move back into the Annapolis housing because on Lincoln's history with black mold issues and what we went through last time we lived there... I have bad asthma and the entire time we lived there, my kids and me were sick the entire time. My husband's an E-4 and b/c of the needs of my kids (primarily, our 3 yr old), I can't work outside the home so renting/buying is not an option.
I really need advice... Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
