So I have been married to my husband for 7 years now, and have been separated for 1 and 1/2. We have 5 yr old twin boys and a 22 month old. We've been together since I was 13. He asked me to try and get pregnant to have our 22 month old, after I had her, I was going through postpardum. He got a facebook account and then started talking to a female that he cheated on me with in high school. I found out about it and then we split up, I moved back to Alabama, he moved her into our house in Virginia and then they moved to Camp Pendleton, CA. She just had a baby in March for him and he has only seen his kids since, one time. He calls probably 2x a month and doesn't really do much for them. He sends $1200 a month for them but I want to stop working and finish school so I can move on with my life. I have filed for divorce but he has not sent over his financial information yet. I have finally found a boyfriend and has moved on with my life but I want to know will I end up possibly losing custody for them because I'm not working? His gf used to be on drugs and don't have custody for her other 2 kids...what should I do? How can I get my child support enforced and what chances does he have at custody if I do not work? Please help!

he is in the miltary so they will enforce child support. just make a plan to hwo the judge on how you will support yourself and the kids while in school. Being a single mom the state will help you my friend had the government pay for her to get an associates degree bc she is single mom and they gave her food stamps wic and paid for child care during that time. Combine that with the child support he will have to pay you and you have a good plan to show the judge.
