For anyone that wants to there is a new community for military spouses with children and live in California. If anyone wants to join just search it by going to all communities and in the search type in military and it will show up

The first move is always the hardest. It gets easier when the Marine corps moves you. Where will your husband be working? I have some friends up there working in a cal lab. And a family moving there from Beaufort in March I think also going to the lab... Trust me moving is easier then you think and the guys in you husband unit and their family become family... Its amazing.

my brother is in the airforce and he is stationed at camp lejune. my sister-in-law hates it! haha but he is totally out of place being an airman on a marine base. So I guess I will be in San Diego by Saturday afternoon... I'm so excited... but starting to get super nervous! i have never really moved before. except from my parents house into my own. thing is goin to be hard

We are stationed in Beaufort, SC right now. There is nothing to do here unless you want to drive 45-60 mins aways and thats a trip to the mall. The fires were pretty scary. But the military stays on top of them and gets you out of there in enough time just like huricannes on this side of the US.

Quoting Jennifer:

I was stationed in San Diego... Miramar... Been up north alot with friends and stuff. There are outlets really close to there and the weather is better then most places. Only thing you have to worry about is the wild fire. We were out there in 2007 with all the fires. The marines on base make sure the families are safe. The beaches are beautiful. You do get one free trip to seaworld, disney and San Diego Zoo. Knotts Berry Farms holds a military day in Nov. The park is only open to military and family that day. Its really nice I miss it.

i remember seeing a lot of stuff on the news about all of the fires... they seemed really scary!!!! we visited back in the fall and i loved it out there!!! the weather was beautiful! so i'm very excited! I'm also very excited for all of the fun activities out there... there is not much to do here in colorado :(

Well my hubby's parents are also moving out there...(long story lol) so they will live in San Marcos. so I will stay there till he gets done with his MCT training at Pendleton. Then after that we will either be at miramar or pendleton for sure. so right now it is still up in the air a little! I have gotten an idea for how expensive things are just by looking around on the internet.. big difference from here! so hopefully i can get on the on base housing thing soon! our little girl is about 14 months old. I'm obsessed with mexican food!! i could eat it everyday i think!!! but we have such an issue here tryin to find a good place to eat! So im really looking forward to eating at all kinds of delicious places out there!!!  OMG i love seaworld!!! i heard about the disneyland promo going on. i am really excited bout that cuz my hubby really wants to take our ella there!!! i guess he has this guy in his platoon his girlfriend is snow white at disney land and she said that she can get us a bunch of free passes! so we are really excited about that... i love rides!!!!

I have heard that north county is a lot better! haha I will take a hot summer right now.. I'm so over the -16 degrees here! We are defenitly going to shoot for on base housing. that will help us out a lot. I'm just going to be glad to be next to the ocean and not so far away! I dont care if it is cold or not! lol
