Hi everyone just wondering who lives near or in san diego ca in there housing..trying to find out whats best out there !!! would love to make some friends and get a play date going

well depending on what base u get station the housing is a little exspensive but u can definatly find something that is covered by ir housing allowance. we r stationed at pendleton and living off base in a three bedroom apt for 1458 a month. u ust have to look around for what ur willing to pay. other then that most all bases in sd arent bad and there surroundings r pretty nice as well. good luck with the move!

Okay, depending what area of San Diego you are moving into, you can expect housing to run about $1600-2500 dollars per month. This is contingent on how large your family is and how much space you will require. If you are eligible to move on to base housing (like at MCAS Miramar), the homes are decent. The new Senior Enlisted quarters (E6 and above) are pretty sweet and the community is awesome. I don't know how the rest are, but I heard they are all pretty nice.
