hey! my husband is stationed in norfolk too, but we live out in va beach. i don't do the whole wives club thing, but if you ever wanna meet or just talk or something, message me!! i can always use friends(seriously, i'm not from here, and i am almost friendless lol)

I seem to make the best friends online. I arrange some play dates where we can get together. It's much easier to put yourself out there when your dealing with military wives, most of us want more friends and company since we are so far away from our family and friends! Good Luck. :)

You can contact your command ombudsman. A lot of the time they run family support groups and so forth that hold meetings with other Navy spouses you can meet with.

there should be one on your base.. we are in Charleston SC and there is one here. i went to a militray spouse 101 meeting last month.. also if you would like i can give you some names of groups on fb. there are lots of girls on them that live in Norfolk..

if hes on a ship there should be an frg president and an ombudsman that can give you info about things goin on. you just need your bubby to have your email address put on their list and they forward you everything. and were stationed they have a thing called MOPS- mothers of preschoolers. they meet i think once a month or maybe more im not sure. they meet at the church and just kinda hang out and talk with refreshments and they have child care so the mommies can have some "adult" conversations without a kid interupting lol

Any base will support you. Also, I don't know what branch your spouse is in, but I know in the Navy different commands hold meetings and such with the wives, you might want to see if maybe your command does that as well. Good Luck!

have you gone to any of the new spouse meetings? also you can ask about the navy wives club.. just go to your family and fleet office.
