Just found out about a week or so ago that we will be stationed at Creech AFB, but living on or around Nellis AFB
Any advice for anything? This is our first pcs and my husband and I are from the east coast, currently stationed at Bolling AFB
If you live there or have lived there please send some advice my way!
We also are due to have our first child on October 28th and our pcs duty date is October 10th... ugh!!!!!

Jasmine, I've been told that very thing a lot over the past few weeks. We have just closed on a house that is north LV off I-95. We looked at the crime rate,schools and think we made the right move. I just flow in from England last night and not even seen the house that has been bought, my hubby and 14 year old did it all for me, I hope the photos were true to form. We will be in LV around Aug 8th

hey i live on Nellis AFB... i just moved here in june.. directly off base i've been told is dangerous.. so i def. think you should either live on nellis base or closer to creech... so you are from the east you are really going to want some humidfiers, im from MS and im used to the humidty and this dry weather drives me crazy.. LOL... well best of luck and if you need anything just let me know

Cheryl, we have been here since Oct. Try using 89143 also, that is our zip. We are little closer to Creech, and the schools are some of the better ones. We have on in HS and one in MS, Arbor View and Ralph Cadwallader respectively. You are right, houses galore right now, we had quite a few to choose from, I recomend using a realtor, they really helped.

We're heading to creech at the end of Aug, so far not a lot to find out. No base houseing, I hear and have know friends that go to Nellis to live on the base, thats 1.2 hour drive from Creech and its not at all a great place to live. We've visited friends in the past at Nellis and its just one big dump.
Creech is out in the middle of no mans land. Renting is easy not that much and north Vegas is so much better I use this zip code to do my searches 89149 , its clean and good schools. We are looking east of I-95 because we have teen children so its all about the schools for us. Most houses are HOA and offer pool's, tennis club houses.
Creech itself is about 30 hour away, if you want to be by the base, its pretty much trailers and cabins.
