Hello! I'm new to the group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kim. I'm prior military myself. I was in the Air Force. I've been to Iraq twice myself. Once in 2003 during OIF 1 and the second time was in 2004 during OIF. I actually met my Marine husband on that second deployment so now I'm a Marine Wife! Then my husband got deployed for a year and I was the one left behind for the first time and WOW do I respect all of you! It's very different between going and being left behind but man it is hard being left behind. I'm out of the military and my husband is home now. He was injured so there will be no more deployments for us and that chapter of our lives is finally closed but I wouldnt take it back for anything! We have a 3 yr old little girl that loves to wear her daddy's cover around the house! I l am proud to be a veteran but even more to be a military wife!
