Hello,
I have 5 kids from age 4 up to 17. I was wondering if anyone ever gets together for play groups? My 4 year old is alone with me all the time while his siblings go to school and I would love to find him some play mates in the Columbus/Fort Benning/Phenix City area.

Check around on base. There are some bases that have set play dates and times for little kids that are not in daycare. Our base has flyers posted all the time in the clinic and the family readiness center. But check it out, and ask around in your neighborhood. You'll be shocked how many moms are home with their little ones, and aren't sure how to ask someone about getting kids together for a playdate. Also organize your own. Post a flyer advertising a play date in a park and see if anyone will show up. I know its taking a chance, but it may work.
