my husband anthony got stationed in san diego last year...we've been livin there for about 10 months now...and i still havent made any new friends...and honestly...i dont kno how...i have no idea where to start...i really need some advice...and friends...so i wont have to fly to the other side of the USA every time he leaves....HELP....

yeah...every time he gets deployed...i go back home...until he comes back...its goin on a year now...and i still havent made any friends....this is sooo not as easy as i thought it would be....

we stay in serra/kearny mesa....we dont live on base...but we stay in military housing....

We were stationed there I lived on Pendleton, and outside of Miramar gates. Try to get involved with the activities on base. Go to the movie theatre on Sunday's it's free and they have other things posted that are family friendly on base. Marine 1 source website. It's harder if you don't live on base to connect with others in your situation. We just moved to VA we aren't attached to any base, and the closest is about 1hr away if I didn't work I probably wouldn't have any friends. : ( Best of luck to you!

my hubby is stationed there as well. i was there about 10 months with him before he deployed a few weeks ago. when i was there i was extra hard for me to make any friends. we didnt live in mil houseing and i have 2 toddlers and am prego now. i never made any friends at all. i came back home when he deployed. ill be coming back in march though. i hope you have an easier time then i did.

my husband was stationed on miramar i live there for 2 years and your rite about making new friends it was imposible.

Where in sd r u guys stationed? My hubby is stationed on pendleton and we live in oceanside. It is really really hard to make friends movin all the time!
