Hi Heather!

I have been a navy wife for over 22 years and have seen a lot of places! We have lived overseas twice and enjoyed it both times! It you love to travel that is they way to go. We were able to travel all through Europe and Asia. Our boys (7 & 16) have been traveling since they were babies. (All you have to do is put them in a baby backpack and go! ) We were in Italy for 4 years and Guam for 3. The rest of the time we have been stationed at Bangor sub base and have enjoyed it very much! Italy was my favorite place and you have to think long and hard about Guam. It is isolated and it cost a lot of money to fly back to the states for visits unless you want to MAC flight it! Overseas is not for everyone but if you want to try something different I would look into it! What is your husband rate??? That might determine where you go next as well!

We are now at our last duty station before retiring in the next two years! Part of me wishes we could go somewhere else but it is our time to get out and move on! Have fun where ever you go and make some good memories! If your husband is going career, time will fly and before you know it you too will be retiring!

Hi, we are Air Force and stationed at FE Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming! We love it out here (except for the wind)! Our first base was Shaw AFB...I feel for anyone who is stuck there:( My husband is currently here, but has been on two deployments to Iraq, so I know what it is like to make it through a deployment. We have two children: Ian is 4 and Ashley is 2!

Some of my friend and I have started a group on our base called Spouses Helping Spouses. It is a great way to get out, meet new people, hang out, let the kids play, have grown up talk and more. If any of you are ever stationed here...let us know...we would love to meet you!

Hello! We are Air Force stationed in Dayton, Ohio. We spent last year non-command sponsored in South Korea - we had to live off base...not my favorite place, but we didn't have to be apart for a year. We have a 4 month old son (Jacob). My family is all in Washington state and Arizona and a lot of them haven't been able to meet him. It's been difficult not having them around but we're making due.

Hello! We are Air Force too - stationed in Dayton, OH. We spent the last year in South Korea (not my favorite place). I went over non-command sponsored so we lived off base. It was an interesting experience. We have a 4-month-old son - I love being a mom. I never thought motherhood would be this great! Hope every one is well.

My husband is at MacDill right now. We love it here, unfortunately we have to move but not until July 2009. I bet your so excited for your husband to come home. We haven't had to experience a deployment yet thank goodness!!
