How do I help my toddler understand deployment?

My husband might be deploying next month, and our son is turning two in Nov. I've been through plenty of deployments, but never with a child. I've got plenty of ideas for visual aids and what nots to help so that he doesn't forget daddy, but i'm still wondering if theres any real way he'll understand whats going on. Is there any way thats better than the next to help him throught this? What should I expect, and/or look for? What's it going to be like for him when daddy comes home?

military one source... cant say it enough make an account get all the free books and movies you can for your toddler!!! there is no way to say how they will react but keeping lots of pics of daddy around is great and skyping as much as u can too! when daddy comes home can be just as hard as when he leaves he may be super happy run up and hug him, maybe scared and need reassurance all these things are normal... god bless and good luck
