Initially I was upset but I dived into homeschooling and building my home career. What do you do to keep busy?

I too joined the YMCA and I work at the school that my children attend along with joining a bible study. My days fly by so hopefully this year will also.

My husband is in Iraq also. I went to the YMCA yesterday because I was thinking about joining and I agree it has a lot of things to do that would keep you busy while he is deployed. Also taking some classes will help keep your mind busy.

My hubby is in Iraq so in the meantime I focus all my attention on our daughter and she is maturing rather quickly! I also try to have friends drop by or go out for coffee once a month just so I can get me time. Mostly just try to stay busy so I wont have time to sit and think "I wonder what he is doing?" It has gotten me through the last 7 months, only 5 more to go!!!!

Mine is in Afghanistan, I don't do much to keep myself busy but I do get to talk to him twice a day, My mornings are his nights so talking to him often makes us both feel better and we use webcams, I find that when I talk to him it goes by quicker. I'm a very attention needed woman so it's really hard for me but the less you think about it the quicker time has gone, He left Feb 22 and sometimes it doesn't feel like it has even been that long. Leave the house as much as possible. It helps

Schedule play dates for you children. And start some projects you know you will finish by the time he gets back. Redecorate the living room or bed room. Maybe paint a room?
