Hey Ladies guess what.....I got my Mirena taken out yesterday and I am feeling sooooo much better.the stiffness in my neck is gone and I don't feel the sharp pains in my stomach any more!!!!Now we just have to see what the mood swings headaches and breakouts do...GOOD LUCK!!! I am so happy to get that over with.
Oh and i have been bleeding through the ultra sized tampons like the water rides at Disney!!! for 7 days now....=(

Hi Tonya,
I had my Mirena taken out in December 2011 after having it in for almost 2 years and I bled through the ultra tampons like the water rides at Disney too, It lasted 14 days like this for me and I had Clogs the size of a saucer plate. (sorry for the over share.)
I was also diagnosed with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) 6 years ago.
We are trying to conceive our second baby ATM but tests are coming back negative, It has now been 7 weeks since I stopped the ridiculous bleed. I have spoken to my doctor and she advised me that it takes between 1-5 months for your body to get the ovulation circle back into it's routine.
As for my removal I didn't even feel it, it was a 5 minute office consultation all done.

April I just had mine taken out in office so as far as surgery I can't say how it will be but did the Dr say the mirena had grown into your cervix or anything like that?

hey im a 26 year old mom off three boys i have been trying to get these iud out sens april i finally hae a surgery appointment on friday dec9 2011 im scared i dont know what the surgery is about and i hate neddles and the last thing is a neddle in the back so i hope that someone knows what the sugery is about and what to expected please help

No it didn't hurt half as much as going in.I just didn't tense up and I almost didn't feel it.Hope you get some relief soon.

hi im really happy for you ive been having propblems with mine and im getting mine out in march is the soonest they can get me in but what i wanted to ask ask does it hurt for them to take out or for you at least thanks
