Hi, i'm Brittany. When I was 6 mths prego i stared to have pain in my lower back and in my bladder. It turned out that within two weeks i had gotten two differnt kidney stones, but they should not have been big enough to cause that much pain. So after being in and out of the hospital at least once a week for a mth with contractions they had to keep stoping..they told me that they would have to put a tube in my back and kidney that would drain into a bag that i would have to walk around with for the rest of the preganacy...that was not at all fun everyone thinks a prego person is cute, not when they have to carry around their pee in a bag :( well after i had that tube in i stated to have pain again...so i went back to the doctor becuase i was contracting agian so they gave me the meds to stop the contractions again and they said that tube was cloged and the only way to fix it would be to take it out and replace it wuth a new one(simple to do since the hole was already there) NOT FOR ME...the tube was stuck this was only suppost to take 20mins at the most and it took 2 hours the doctor had already called over to get me into surgery but then he told me to hold my breath and hold the nurses hand(i was wake for all this) and the pulled and tuged..finally just as he was giving up the tube came out(worst pain in my life)...then they put in a new one...turned out that they first doc to put in the tube didnt tell me to inject saline into the tube twice a day to clean it...well so i went into the er agian cuz i was having more pain/contractions...they tried to stop it cuz i was only 36weeks along, but they couldnt the meds were making my heart rate go up so they told me that the were braking my water and that we were going to have this baby...I was in labor for about 24 hours...my doc made me get an epi so that it would numb the tube in my back so i couldt feel it while pushing..

My son was born January 16th at 7am on the dot!

He eas 6lbs 11oz and 19 inches long..i got to hold him for maybe 2 mins and then they took him to the NICU...I couldnt see him for 24hours cuz i had a fever...THat was the hardest part..my fiacne went in and held him, feed him, took pics with him, changed his first diaper..sorry to say but i was sooo upset at my fiance' that he was able to do all my sons first and i couldnt even touch him...My son had an infection(thats why he wanted out so badly)...I was discharged after 2 days and i got to have the tube removed(took 5mins this time:) ) my son had to say for five days in the NICU. now he is a very healthy almost 3mth old that is already 12lbs!!!

This is my story and even though I went had so much pain with the pregancy i cant wait to have another one(and yes i will most likly have to have the tube again when that happens, since there just isnt much room in my stomach area for a baby) But im ok with it cuz i love being a mother!

Note yes my son was early and yes he had an infection he was never on any danger...

Do you think its dumb the i would put myself though that again??

No bcause each pregnancy is different! With my first I spotted and cramped , tested positive for downs which after genetic counseling turned out to be false positive and going through 24 hours of labor after my water broke getting an infection and running a fever of 103 and finally having an emergency c section! This second baby tests came back fine, no spotting and scheduled c section this time bcause my body does not know what to do! I am happy to do it all over again! Good luck! My son was also born on Jan 16th at 3:15 pm!! This one due in Sept!

Wow that sounds rough. But you are not dumb for wanting more kids. I also had a rough pregnancy. I started cramping (just mild menstrual like) at like 14 weeks, the doctor said not to worry since I was not spotting. Then at 21 weeks the problems began. I went into labor. They were able to stop the labor before I dialated more than I was (I was at 1 with no effacement.) I spent the night in the hospital while they stopped everything. I was sent home with instructions to stay in bed. Then again at 24 weeks labor started. I was dialated to a 2 with 20% effacement after they stopped it that time and spent 2 nights in the hospital. Then at 28 weeks I was back in the hospital for a night but again it was all stopped, I was to 2 1/2 and 40%. Then at 32 weeks I was in the hospital again and again things were stopped, but I was at 3 cm and 60%. My doctor had been telling me since 21 weeks she doubted I'd carry to term but to do my best with her help to keep the baby inside as long as possible. Our goal was 36 weeks. She said at that point she would no longer try to stop the labor. Well I made it to 36 weeks and one day when I went into labor for the last time. I checked into the hospital at 4 cm and 100%. I was in labor all night (14 hours) and only progressed to 5cm so the dr. broke my water and gave me pitocin...an hour later my son was born. He came so fast the epidural didn't kick in until right before I started pushing, and he gave me 3rd degree tears and he had a hematoma that took up an entire side of his head (it took 3 weeks to go away).

On top of the preterm labor my hypoglycemia usually is managable via diet and I hardly have to monitor it. Not during my pregnancy. Even if I ate good, I still would have my sugar levels drop on occassion and would pass out. I tried to do the glucose test twice, but passed out both times so I flat said I wouldn't do it again. I was scared falling like that would hurt my baby. (At least when I "fell" at home I was in bed cuz I was on bedrest, so I just would slump over, but at the clinic I just would fall flat on the floor).

Now my son is happy and healthy 8 month old. He had issues at birth with breathing because he swallowed some meconium, but got better. recently we started to suspect he may have mild asthma so he is on breathing treatments.

As for me it took me until my son was 4 months old to be 100% healed in the tore areas. The first 2 months I struggled with walking, and going to the bathroom. I was so embarrassed but I had to have my husband help me. Now I'm all better, and despite all I've been through, I'd love to have another child someday. I must be crazy, but ALL of it was so worth it, because it gave me the most amazing son.
