Congratulations on your new addition to your family! When I had my first born, I walked a lot with my baby in the stroller. If a college track is available to you, all the better. Just make sure, your baby is not overheated. My son used to love sleeping while I walk; I like it cause I'm getting my cardio exercise plus some quality time for mommy! If you're having natural childbirth, you can do som ab strengthening by doing ab contractions ( breathe in, then breathe out and while breathing out, pull in your abs as far in as you can hold in feeling your navel caving in) while slowly counting to 10. Working your obliques, with feet shoulders apart, and your arms stretched sideways, try reaching opposites, your right forefinger touching your left big toe, then your left forefinger touching your right big toe, alternately. Start with two sets of 8 at first working your way up. Be careful not to do it abruptly or you'll feel lightheaded. Yoga and pilates are your best bet. I hope this helps!

Hi Kimberly, First of all congratulations on your new baby:) One thing that I know helps a lot after giving birth is breast feeding that helps with contracting those abdominal muscles. Another great exercise is planks I like to do at least 3 to 4 sets of 14. Something else thats good for abs is doing your ab workout with a workout ball it gives you a stronger and more intense ab workout. Kimberly please make sure you get your Doctors OK before doing any type of workout, once you get the OK then have fun working out and toning your body. Diet is also important, but if you are planning on breast feeding you need to have a certain amount of calories and fluid to keep a good milk supply, so be careful with any calorie reduction at this time. I hope this helps:)
