I do know all babies are different of course, also that babies sleeping patterns change a lot. I have a 3 month old girl Leah, Every night she wakes up at about 2 or 3 and stays awake till about 7 or 8 in the morning. She sleeps great in the daytime, just at night she wants too just play play play !! I've tried too keep her awake in the daytime well every 3 hours anyways, but still she thinks nighttime means play time. I did hear at about 3 months is a great time too start a bedtime routine and teaching them the difference between day and night. I'm just not sure where too start or how too make this work or even if this would help. I was just wondering if a bedtime routine would help her ? Also, what bedtime routine has helped with your kids ?

With my stepson we had him on a schedule... 7:00 bottle and light playtime like singing and rocking in the chair and a bath with some lavender baby wash... very gentle soothing movements and nice warm water... then I'd put a towel over my chest and wrap him nice and snug and hold him and sing and give.. then we'd head for the couch where I'd diaper and jammie him and then we'd snuggle and have mommy Zai time for a bit... by then it was about 8:30 or so and he'd be pretty happy and warm and snuggly and I'd put him in his crib with a small night light in the corner and he'd maybe "talk" a little but he'd drift off pretty soon... Daytime he napped at 10AM and 2pm for an hour or less... never any sooner or later and he'd wake up about 7AM or so.. it took awhile but it was routine and it worked well. (Plus I got bonding time) LOL. My daughter never had a routine I just couldn't get disciplined enough to do it. If I had to do it again I would have a routine for her too.
