I Know this is pretty much a single mom group but i consider myself a single mom.I have three daughters 9,7 and 2.My Fiancees been in prison for a year now oct 1 and he has 3 years 2 months to go hes not the father of any of my children but i love him with all my heart!!! Does anyone else have a mate in prison if so how do you cope with things because sometimes i feel like im gonna lose my freakin mind!!!

Ok i am curious to know this. Why are your men in prison and do you think they will really change when they get out? I am sorry i personally would never wait for a man to get out of prison regardless of what he did. I have kids and they do not need to be around people who have ended up in prison. I think you ladies all deserve better than to wait for a man to get our of prison and so do your children. Plus how would the father of your children feel if he found out you were trying to plan a life with a criminal? Just my opinion.

My 4 year old daughters and unborn sons father is in prison and just left 6 months ago. It's so hard nome and wish I had sum1 to talk to who can relate

I may not have a man in prison, but I know how if feels. I know and have lost someone for 7 years to the system. All I can say is be strong and remember this, they are still breathing and will be home sooner than you think. Also remember that they are coming home to you. You have to be their biggest support though it all. I know it will be hard with kids and all but they need you and so does your man. Write letter and have phone calls and let him know what is going on in their world. It will make the time go by faster for him and you. Look at the postitive side of everything.

i have stuck beside him this whole time because i know he is my one true love its just hard knowing hes got 3 more years to go but it feels good to know theres someone else out there goin thru the same thing it helps

My fiancee is in prison also. He is not the father of my son but like you I love my man with everything that I have. Everyone makes mistakes and I forgive him for it and i will be here waiting when he gets out in a year.
