My daughter is 19 months old + her father has had nothing to do with her up until 9 months old! he took me court to get access after saying he didnt want her + wanted nothing to do with her! the court case has been going on 10 months now as he had been on bail. he was granted supervised contact + he could never keep to it! she doesnt even know who he is + when he does make contact which is very rare, shes very wary of him + wont go out of my sight! social services have been involved as what he'd been on bail for! now theyre saying theres no risk to her if he has unsupervised contact after hes been arrested for hitting hos own sister! if its on the court order he has unsupervised do i have to allow her to go? i know for a fact she wont go with him onher own anyway but i dont trust him one little bit with her on his own! not after the violent relationship we had + the things hes been arrested for + been on bail for! whenever we go to court they never seem to look at my side of the story + see that i dont want my child getting hurt just so they can see my point! GRRRR

You absolutely need a better lawyer. They should definitely be taking his criminal history into account, especially it being a violent one.

Annoys me so so much! He doesn't even do anything for her or with her when he does bother to show up to contact! The law is backwards really is! They don't take nothing into account + wonder why things like baby p happen! Grrr

Unfortunately if you violate the court order you risk him getting MORE visitations and possibly some custody.

I feel for you. That would really freak me out and I'd definitely be trying to go back to court to keep supervised visits.

How is it he was granted unsupervised visits when he wasn't even keeping up w/ his supervised contact? Sometimes the court system really sucks.
