Do you think it is a bad thing to get your child whatever they want?

as much as we would like to give our kids whatever they want in life...its our job as parents to tell them no...say your kid wants something that he or she isn't ready for...then no...or if you aint got the dollas for whatever they are asking for then no...but if you don't want your kids throwing tanturms everytime you turn around cause *mama said no* then don't give everytime they want something...it spoils them...you know those teenagers who think the world owes them something...at some point their parents stopped telling them no...and you see how they are...

raise your child as if they were grown....You want them to be self supportive, responsible, a member of society...teach them those things. If you give them evrything now, all you can expect is for them to ask and demand everything of you later.....

i agree children should have bondries and when they are at that age they need to be told no once in awhile ....nothing wrong in getting them something but dont do it all the time or the child is going to be dependant opon u later in life to get everything for them pay there this and that .,.. so teaching them early is a good thing give it to them as a reward for somthing good like potty training or good grades in school... i guess it all depends on how u where both raised as well... good luck

personally i think it is coz it doesnt teach them bounderies for wen they older ncant hav everything they want in life i no it sounds harsh but giving them wat they want all the time can cause bigger problem like tantrums screaming etc... i think from time to time its ok to spoil them but not all the time

I'm not goin to say it's a bad thing but it can be a problem from time to time. For example, if you go to the store and jus so happens you can't get him the toy he sees, he might throw a tamtrum. It is ok from time to time to get them what they want but not all the time.
