This is a hard time in your life. We as women always want to be needed. Now you are at a time in your life where you may feel useless. As grown up as your children may feel, they will always need you. Especially your daughter. Sometimes we have to step back and let them do things on their own. I have a 23 year old daughter and when she had her first child, I thought I could come in and help her. All advice I offered at that time was not accepted. It was unsolicited so she thought. I felt shot down. I felt after giving birth to three kids I could help her as her mother. Then when she had the second child, it was if she didn't trust me with the baby. I was so hurt. I cried and was ready to come home. Prior to me coming there, she was crying and complaining that she needed my help. I know she was all hormonal and all. So now I don't offer advice unless she asks for it. I think girls want to figure things out on their own. All I could tell you, is be available to them when they need you. I know it's hard. Sometimes you may want to cry. But you have to remember this one thing. You are getting your life back and you will soon feel the freedom to do things you enjoy. Trust me. I like going shopping by myself and doing things for me that I wasn't able to do when they were small. Be emcouraged. I keep my children in prayer. I have three ages 23,22 and 19.
