I put both my kids in there own room once they were 3-4 week old and never let them sleep in my bed. I agre the earlier they are in there own room the easier it is, u my have to let them cry for a little but it wont hurt them just be strong! My daughter i 4 now and is starting the whole i wanna sleep in ur bed......i dont budge just put her in her room and let her scream..

i had my son in with me ALOT wen he was first born, at 14 weeks i decided i had to stop and put him to bed in his room and let him cry, it took about 4 very very long tiring nites but he hasnt been in my bed since. i agree with Delana tho, best way to solve it is not to have them in bed with u in the first place, good luck!!!

Put them in the room, close the door, and let them cry themself to sleep.. I know it is hard, but the only other way of breaking them of it, is not to start it at all.

Give them their own room and leave them there!

depends on your child and their age when you start to break them of it. I find that the younger the child the easier it is. But for some children like my son who slept with me in the bed from the day he was born until he was about two I had to literally put him in his bed close the bedroom door and let him scream until he went to sleep. I know it sounds cruel and unfair to him, but after about a few days he has been sleeping by his self ever sense. Now my neice is five and she always crawls into the bed with whoever she is staying with (long story on her) I find in order to get her to go to sleep by herself she has to be watching a movie and have a nightlight....or with my step daughter who falls asleep on the couch while everyone else is doing things that they need to and after she is asleep we just simply moved her to her bed when she wakes up at night we tell her its okay and we take her back to her bed be consistent with whatever method you choose and eventually they will get down the idea of sleeping by themselves some children are naturally cuddlers though so maybe you should buy a stuff animal or something that they think will help them with their transition that they know will be there good luck
