Hello to all,

I need advice. My daughter's father and I are going to draft a child support agreement and file it with the court. Can anyone recommend a site that will give us a sample or blank document that we can tailor to what we need? I've tried legalzoom and they do not cover child support at all.

Thank you!

You can try on line lawyers , I think they charge about 10 dollars to answer your question/questions but they give you the correct advice according to the "law" . I would be as careful as you can with this , even if all is amicable right now with your child's father as no one knows what the future holds . Your child is entitled to a certain percent of his gross income and in most child support cases the father is also responsible for paying half of the child's medical insurance, medical bills, recreational activities, etc. as all too often their percent of child support does not cover a fraction of the cost of raising a child. I am assuming you have full custody?? I am the mother of 3 and 42 years old so I know a good bit about the cost of raising a child and or children as you never know what "may pop up" in one month that you must pay for your child. Also when the child is school age , there is many fees and field trips , supplies etc needed ! Not to mention clothes , food, rent or morgage !! I found out early on with my first child just how expensive it is so when I had my second child (they have different fathers, my first child's father passed away ) -- I made sure in the papers he was responsible for "half" of everything and it worked out MUCH better :) It was a 50-50 split on everything for her :) Hope I have helped and good luck!!
