I have one 9 yr old daughter. It doesn't matter if you have 1 or 3 or 6, it's always going to seem like quite the challenge at times. As Brenda said, remember to take care of yourself as well. I love spending time with my daughter, but I always make sure I take at least 30 minutes, uninterrupted, for myself. It's not as bad now that she's older, but you find ways to cope (like coming on here and talking with people in similar situations) and looking back I realize that things weren't quite as bad as they seemed.

Keep your chin up. It WILL get better. I speak from experience. I have 4 kids ranging from 21 to 10...with alot of baggage. Keep your chin up and remember that you are the mother. Respecting yourself enough to make time for you to unwind is really important. You have to take care of yourself to be able to handle this. Read a book or take a bubble bath. When you're relaxed, play a game with them that will show them you want to be with them and they'll love you for it. Don't forget to look for the humor. We're here if you need us.

Children are alot to handle you really have to have a whole lot of patience I have a 17 year old and a 21 month and that is a hand full, one is on her way to college and then I am starting all over again with my son. Some say that I am crazy but he keeps me busy, especially when I am out of work right now (yes I am looking for work), but I not depress. He is on a tight schedule with bed time nap time, I do need my me time so again he is keeping me sane. :-)
