Ultra Sounds!!!

Just found out yesterday, it's a girl!!!! so excited but also wondering how accurate the sonagram is. I don't think the tech would have said anything if he wasn't sure.

Hehe... we had our scan and this time round I said I didn't want to find out, last time it was hubby that didn't want to find out... so it is going to be a suprise again much to my MIL's digust... I have one of eah so either way it will be all good except if it is a boy I will need to go and buy new clothes since silly me gave away all of my sons baby clothes

We just found out a couple weeks ago. We sceduled our anatomy ultrasound at my 20 wk mark, but my reg doc told me he could check, so we did. He said he was 90% sure it was a girl and then the 20wk appt confirmed it. I thought about having it be a surprise, but I'm so impatient. I really like knowing.

I am on baby number 4 and will probably find out. I did not find out with the three boys and I got the whole It's a boy thing with the first two, but when the 3rd was born I had to ask what he was. I think they just assumed we knew as so many people find out these days. Also the boys all want a baby sister (which would be nice for me too) so I will know whether I need to prepare them for another little boy tearing up the house ;)

@Ashley - I had no idea such a law even existed...that's crazy! I don't know that I would have gone to the extreme to sue the hospital if I'd gotten the wrong info...probably would have gone so far as to say a few choice words about them under my breath while standing in line returning all of the pink or blue stuff I wasn't going to use anymore. As for your other news, I'd really like to keep you and your little on in my prayers, if you don't mind. What exactly is a choroid plexus cyst? Keep us all posted on your progress!

Aww that's exciting. Unfortunately i have to do state insurance and feel very uncomfortable going to a hospital clinic, where i feel like cattle. Just got a sonogram done and i'm 17 weeks prego. They also saw a choroid plexus cyst on the baby's brain which makes me unhapp/anxious. My next and last sonogram is for anatomy only. A hospital got sue'd 4 years ago because the ultra sound tech told a family the wrong sex of a child; causing extreme post partum. So..because of that a law in NJ now is that no hospital will tell you the sex of your child. :-/ So yeah...not really excited and it's not getting better over here for me. but i wish everyone the best of luck and happy pregnancy.

I am not sure if we are going to find out or now. We have twins, one boy and one girl. This baby will be born around two weeks from our twins b-day, so we have everything we already need. I have heard a saying. There are only a few enjoyable surprises worth waiting for.

I'm hoping it's clear one way or the other for us. My husband wants a boy and our daughter wants a girl, so I'm finding out so I'll know which one to console. lol

I am going on 18 weeks, so my next scan might be the one we can tell what we are having. I want to find out but the hubby says it doesnt matter to him either way. Only thing is .. with my son, they told us we were having a girl until the day he came out. I dont know how they missed that! lol! So I am a little skeptical.

I want to find out this time but hubby doesn't! So i'm alittle unsure of what to do.. we didn't find out with our first two & it was great to get that 'It's a boy!' when they were born but i'm struggling with names this time around & think it will help if i only have to concentrate on one sex..lol
Have my scan in 2wks so we'll see if hubby or myself win out..haha

I am due the 30th of Oct, well they keep going back and forth with the 29th too, but ultrasound says 30th. We get to find out on June 11th!!!

@Charlotte - I'm due Oct 20. My next ultrasound will probably be sometime around June 2 & we are definitely finding out which name we're using!

Thanks girls for your opinion. I am so excited, I think when I am laying there on the bed I won't be able to not find out.

@Charlotte - So many people will be putting their two cents in on every pregnancy/deliver/child rearing topic imaginable! It never hurts to listen, but in the end, this is YOUR child and you know best.

Charlotte, first of all, congrats!!! Second, it is totally up to you whether you should find out or not, but for me, it really helped the preperation and you don't get stuck with all green and yellow clothes, you can personalize it!!! Also, for me, I don't like calling my baby it, and we have a problem agreeing on names, so for us, we are going to find out!!! Plus, I am just not that patient!! lol :) Whatever you decide, let it be your decision!!! :)

we have 5 weeks before we can find out the sex but i'm still debating if i want to! we found out with our daughter because I wanted to be organised, but seeing as we're only planning on having 2 babies, i dont know if I should be surprised or not! Help!

We are SO excited to find out if our baby is a boy or a girl.....but I still have about 5 weeks before they'll tell me for sure. I'm not sure if I am most anxious or if my 8 year old daughter is. lol All I know for sure is 5 weeks seems an awfully long ways away!
