Hi All,
I'll be moving to Madison in the next few months, and I am soooo excited. We've been in Washington, DC, for the last 6 years, and it is just too far from family.
I just found this group and wanted to introduce myself and draw on your collective wisdom. A little about me: as I mentioned, we are moving from DC. I have a great husband and the most amazing 16 mo son. I currently work outside the home at a not-for-profit company and am currently looking for a great job in Madison/HSV. In my pre-baby life, my obsession was swing dancing!
I'm really spoiled to have a wonderful community email listserve with over 1400 local moms to give advice, share information, and swap baby toys with. I hoped to find something similar in Madison, but most of the listserves I have found are affiliated with very specific clubs. Perhaps finding this group is a start.
I'd love to know how you recommend going about locating a great daycare provider in the Madison area. Also, besides Circle of Moms, how do you connect with fellow local moms?
I look forward to creating a wonderful life back in the grand ol' South and would love to hear from you if you have a moment.
