Many mommies are survivors of serious medical tragedies, like WWII veterans, we don’t talk about the experience much. Partly because we don’t want our injury to define us and partly because most people can’t understand what it’s like to come face to face with Sudden Death and walk away. Whether it was a serious car accident, a near fatal infection or meningitis, it changes us forever. To be clear, this is not a group for bitter discussion. This is a safe place to share your story and share the good you managed to pull out of medical hardship and become something much more than a “survivor.” This has been on my mind recently because I finally sat down and started a blog that begins with the horrific auto accident that gave birth to Mommy Golightly. Please share your stories, yours lessons and we will listen, support and grow.
