I look around the page and I see lots of mom's from the States, and I know we are all in this oilfield wife thing together, but it would be nice to know I am not alone up here in Alberta.
My hubby works south and west of Grande Praire right now, which we consider far better than the two and a half hours north of Fort St. John that he was before the rig moved.

Hi there! I am a 41 year old mom of two living in Fort McMurray. We first came to Alberta from Nova Scotia, then Victoria B.C, then Barrhead Alberta. Almost all the while, my husband worked in Fort McMurray. The two years I was in Barrhead (4hours away from Fort McMurray), it was like I was a single married person. I can definitly relate!

I live in Beaumont, Alberta...just 10 minutes south of Edmonton, Alberta :) I've been with my Oilfield husband for 4 years now. Just moved out to Beaumont though and I don't know any other oilfield wives...I'm also expecting my first little one next month...so I'm hoping to find some new mom's to chat with as well :)

My hubby is in Ft Mac, but I am in Nanaimo, BC. He used to work a 14 days on/14 days off rotation, but just started a new job that will be 6/6. He has talked about only coming home every second set because the flights are so expensive. That would make it 18/6 for us. We'll see how it goes. :/

Hi!! I live in Leduc, hubby works for savanna, right now he is only 2hrs away, non camp. But that will be changing soon and he will be in july lake in fly in camp YAY :P
Last yr we spent the summer til sept. camping in grand prarie while he worked in hythe.
I look forward to meeting you all!! we have 3kids, 7,3 and 19months sometimes i feel sooooo alone!

I'm In fort mac my husband and I use to live in cochrane and he went back and forth, but we just bought a house in sept up here. He works locally but still works long days and hoildays.
