My husband is a pipeline welder in the gas feilds... however, there is no work at home. We live in Trinidad and he has been working on the road since December 2008. It SUCKS!!!! I am not looking forward to the winter! But I know that it is hard for him too, especially being away from us. I am thankful that he has a job though, even though it has been a rough year and he was laid off for over 3.5 months, off & on... but on the plus side, so many of the other welders & operators are working on the same job as he is. I would like to know if anyone, has any word on new work that might be coming to Colorado? Heard of some work possibly around Rifle, but I think that was just a rumor.

Tiffany, you are so right. Our husbands need our support . we've been married for 33 yrs. My husband hates being away from home : { But we are so thankful just to have the work . We never know at this point if the work will be there tomorrow.

I live in Trinidad. My husband is a welder . Does anybody know of any work here in colorado , or the 4 corners area ? He has a lot of experience with the oilfield . We moved here because it seemed to be where the work was . : } He spent Jan. & Feb. in Rifle & most of Mar. & Ap. in Wy. He's now in Cortez . Which is where we actually came from . lol

I live in Colorado. Thats is also where my hubby works though he is gone sometimes a month at a time.. He had this job before I married him so I really had to decide if I could deal with it or not.
