Yes he comes home on his days off. He works 7 days off and then gets to come home 7 days. When he was fracing he was never home but they traveled everywhere so it would have benefited us to move with him. I don't really think it would benefit us to move with him now really, he'd still only be home a week. How are you liking the college online? I've wanted to do something like that but I still have 2 small kids at home(4,and 2) I don't think I'd get any school work done with them home. I used to manage a few stores in the mall here before he really got into the oilfield but that was almost 6 years ago. My husband loves drilling over fracing and cement. Its more physical work but more of a steady schedule. I can plan more. We didn't even get a chance to get christmas photos done this year b/c he was never home.

@Sarah-So your husband comes home to Fort Smith on his days off? We used to live in Tulsa, but I moved out here to be with my husband. Before we hardly saw each other and now we see each other a lot. He works usually 6 days on and 3 days off. Thanks for responding to my post. I used to work full time and full time college. Now I am a full time mom in college online. It is quite a change. How does your husband like drilling?

@Serena-the area in the panhandle is pretty desolate. There is not alot to do. It is very windy here on most days. I have only been here a couple of weeks so I am still forming an opinion. There are alot of nice people here. It is slower pace here.

I'm close to you. I'm about 6 hours away in Arkansas(fort smith) My husband works in and around Liberal, Kansas for a drilling company! He did frac for 6 years before that. I have a 7 year old son, 3 year old daughter(she'll be 4 march 15th) and an 1 year old son(He'll be 2 march 13th) My husband works on a week rotation. Its a change for us considering he was working 3 weeks on with only 2 days off. That sucked! Anyways, I'm here if youe ver wanna chat!

I was just looking into that area. My husband works on a frac crew too but just got moved to North Dakota. What's the area like there in Oklahoma?
