trying to conceive?

I know that these are all old posts but my husband and I are going through the same thing. He works on tug boats and is gone three weeks at a time and is never home when I'm ovulating!!! Man, i hope I get pregnant soon!

I see that this is an old post but I just wanted to add my two cents in. My husband and I have been trying for 4 years! He is never home at the right time and all the stress of it changes my cycle quite a bit so I totally understand! The joke with my other oil field wife friends is that we should all get samples and turkey basters and create our own personal in home fertility clinics :)

My husband and I had the same problem with the last child that we just had. We ttied for over a year before we finally hit gold!! lol, don't give up, as soon as I said screw it, this isn't happening we got our baby boy, born just two months ago. If all else fails, surprise him at work, I almost did. I know it's a long trip, but sometimes it's worth it.

Aw....I am so sorry. Thought I was the only one! My husband and I have been trying for over 3 years now. His 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule is pretty unforgiving and when you think, "Yeah", he will be home the next time you ovulate and there is a schedule change, its like 3 more months til the timing matches up. We tried for for 10 months got pregnant, lost it and haven't gotten pregnant again. HUGS! We have quit trying so good luck to you all!

my husband works on the gas rigs and we had the same problem not that we were trying but it was gona happen sooner or later. it took almost a year to nme to get pregnant but we lost it, then it too another nine months to get pregnant again now we have a beautiful little boy. they say the more you think about it the less likely it will happen, so maybe stay focused on other things. Funny how the mind and body work together

Thank you guys so much! Sometimes I feel like such a failure when I get my period, like I'm supposed to be able to have kids and something is wrong with me. :(

Yes! We've been trying for almost 2 years. My husband is working 8 hours from our home and doesn't have a set schedule. Our son turns 3yrs next week. I don't want our kids to be spaced too far apart. I was hoping to have another baby by now. I also turned 30 this month so I am feeling old! lol
