having a hard time coping

Hello Karen, I pray today that you are feeing much better than those down days. I was diagnosed w/ Lupus~mixed connective tissue disorder in 2004. I recent lost 85% of my skin from head to toe and I tell you it was a time that I to was at a low point. My faith was what rebounded me. I am not sure if you are a Christian or not but I tell you it the promises are true and they keep me. We have to renew our minds daily and cast down every strong hold or negative thought in Jesus name. Karen there is power in the name of Jesus and if you believe in Him he went to the cross for our healing, His word say by His strip we ARE healed. (If you have a Bible read these scriptures daily until they are sealed in your heart; James 5:14-16, Matthew 9:28-30, Jeremiah 17:14, Matthew 9:6-7, Matthew 4:23-24, Jeremiah 30:17, Exodus 23:25, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5.

I tell you the Lord says taste and see that He is good and to try Him.

(prayer) Father I come to you on behalf of Karen that she may be healed by her faith, Lord I stand in your word that she was healed by your stripes and by your grace and mercy she shall be restored by the renewing of her mind. Father I bind the author & prince of lies, death, darkness & theft, in the name of Jesus. You said in your word that you have given us power to trample and stomp on the heads of scorpions and poisonous snakes and they will not harm us in the name of Jesus. No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper in mighty name, Jesus, and that we shall live and not die. I believe that Lord because you are not a God that lies, and you do not change not yesterday, today or forever. Lord I thank you in advance for Karen and I ask that you strengthen her mind, body and soul and to give her & her family peace, joy, happiness, health, strength, patience, kindness, long-suffering, love prosperity in Jesus name amen. Karen began to speak the word of Gos over and through your life and watch God manifest Himself in and through you.

thanks. I do try it one day at a time. I've talked wit my drs and they want me anti depressants. I really hate take them . I feel like a zombie.
I'm trying to keep a good outlook. It's just hard.

Hey there.
I was just diagnosed over the holidays with lupus, they thought it was dermatomyositis at first, and it turned out to be lupus. Now they think that it might be both, god only knows!
I took the news really hard at first, i think the hardest part day to day is teaching myself how to live differently. I have a two year old and a 2 month old, so just giving them their basic needs is a full time job all on its own never mind trying to keep the house tidy.
Right now they cant get it under control im on 60 mg of prednisone, i have been since the beginning of December. I'm also on plaquenil 400mg alternating 200 mg and methotrexate 20mg once a week.
Just take it one day at a time, at the end of the day i always say, "alright you made it through one more day". You should also talk to your doc about the depression, they can help its all very common with SLE and all the meds that go with it.
