Hi everyone - I'm looking for some inspiring stories..... I'm 43 and my little boy is 19 months (conceived by IVF). We've just done another IVF stim cycle with the hope of giving Marcus a sibling - first transfer was not successful ;-( but we do have 2 frosties left. Is there anyone out there who's been successful with IVF at around this age and do you have any advice (natural therapies, etc) to increase chances of success? Looking forward to the inspiration!!! xoxoxo

I did not go through IVF but I can tell you that I conceived naturally at 45 and wasn't even trying. But in looking at all the things I did, and then researching the subject in depth, I confirmed what I suspected. The steps I took to improve my overall health and well being were instrumental in increasing my fertility.

I've learned that you should start these healthy habits at least 120 days before your IVF cycle to optimize your chance of success. You want to make sure you're eating a healthy diet free of too many refined foods and trans fats. You should get some rest and decompress whenever you can. which may not be easy with a 19 month old. Don't have any caffeine or alcohol, be very careful with herbs (avoid unless you know exactly which ones are safe). And definitely look into acupuncture, it's been proven effective for increasing fertility.

That's the reader's digest version, hope it helps!
