Hey there,

Hi I'm Brittany the administrator of Moms Against Child Abuse & Sexual Pedophiles. I hope everyone is doing great and I was hoping to get some involvement from the moms in this community.

I was hoping to get some suggestions on ways to make this community more active. I was hoping that some of ya'll would post personal stories of your own experiences, what happened, how your dealing, and the outcome. I would like people to start asking questions, posting statistics, laws, or anything you personally know.

I know this is a very hard topic for people to talk about but a very serious one. I have my own personal story posted on the conversation/bulletin board, please read it, ask questions, advice anything. This topic is one that needs to be talked about no matter how hard for information to get out there and so people know they are not alone.

Hi Brittany,
I found this post in searching for another post. I am a mom of 4 beautiful daughters. 2 are victims of sexual abuse. 1 by her grandfather, the other by our godson. Our godson is currently in juvenile detention. My father in law, is under 5 yrs probabtion and house arrest, lifetime tether (ankle bracelet), and life time register as a sex offender. i have a blog, laying out our journey through all this. www.throughthischild.wordpress.com. I'm also currently involved with a ministry called Voice Today. It's specifically geared to bringing awareness to Child Sexual Abuse and help with some healing for adult victims. My daughter's essay is on the website. (www.voicetoday.org/testimonials) She wants to help other children who are too scared to speak out on what has happened to them.
My husband and I also want to start a ministry helping the caretakers of the victims. In our own journey we've realized that the family needs help as well as the victims. I'm willing to help anyone where I can. I'm not an expert, but I can offer what has worked for us and what we did. (i.e., legally, emotionally, etc)

Hey Brittany,
I know you sent a message out to all of us forever ago.. Im sorry im just now getting to it.. These last 6 months have been crazy. I got a protective order against my soon to be x and my kids and I walked away.. I think one of the biggest issues arising is that people are letting the "what will others think of me" feeling if they post their stories.. Im working on mine..lol. i was with him for 12 yrs.. we need people who are commited to helping kids grow from this. Hugs and Loves
