do you have a lawyer? I don't know how it works there but in Saskatchewan it's different. Is there a reason he has your child? How old is your kid? I would ask your laywer if you have one about your child getting a Voices of Children(or something like that) to say to a thrid party what he wants. I don't know exactly how restraining orders works with kids, but I do know here that protection orders don't go longer than 1 year(6 months usually, sometimes only 3) then other chances are offered, it takes certain situations for permanent orders to be put in place. He would probably get supervised after the p.o. was done, and it might be his wife, though you could try to get someone esle to do it. I don't know if this helps, I'll add more when I have some time(I'm in a class break).
