Does anyone get migranes during their period? I did not have my period for three months. I got it yesterday. I have had such a bad headace late yesterday and today all day long. I throw nup last night and not a whole lot like you would during a stomach flu or something. It was two times and just a little bit the two times. My husband got horny and my chest always looks good to him but when I get my period it looks even better more round and heavy. I took advil a few hours ago and it has not helped. I feel horrible. Do not have ginger ail so drinking Lemon Zinger to hopefully settle my stomach. I can only stand the computer a little at a time. My head hurts right around my forhead and it feels like someone is throwing my head around It hurts more in my forehead. HELP I have a nine year okd and my husband has health issues and I have to do mostly everything around here. I hope this does not last through out myperiod. I will go nuts. What do you take. Any suggestions. My stomach feels like a blown up balloon. It is awefull.

I know this is late I hope you are not still suffering from migriane. I use to get them a day before my period till the day after it was horrible. I could not take imatrax or anything they gave me I also had horrible cramps throwing all of it. Since it was hormonal. I started on hormones birth control. I have health issues that I can't take hormones do I ended up having hysterectomy now my problems are gone.

I used to get migraines off and on but they started to become more frequent; coming when I had my period and when it rained (pressure drop). Then it got to the point where I was getting migraines more days than I wasn't. My Dr prescribed Imitrex 25 mg and then 50 mg. When they started coming more frequently, he put me on a "prophalactic" drug to prevent them, which was Topomax 100 mg in the morning and night; with Imitrex 50 mg as a backup for that occasional migraine.
I get the sensitivity to light, sounds and smells, nausea, vomiting, sometimes auras, I can barely move without feeling like I want to throw up or my head it pounding!! It's awful.

I started getting them after i had my last child. I didn't know they were migraines. I would get the lines thru my vision and a weird feeling in my head. Now I get them around ovulation time, not always, maybe every other month. Usually its starts with the weird vision and pressure, then a migraine. I can usually still function but I do get tired. I take Advil and usually have more tea, caffeine can help. I hope you don't get them all the time. A friend told me that you can talk to your Dr and they can give you something for it.

Hi Amy :),
I got migraines all the time, but they are at their worse during my period.I take Imitrex and Fiorcet for my migraines.I throw up once in a while with the migraines.I am stocked up on ginger ale(get the Canada Dry,it has real ginger in it,but any will work as good if you can't find it) and saltine crackers;also PowerAid drinks.i would go to the doctor and ask for Imitrex, also I heard a good migraine pill designed just for menstrual migraines called Frova is good too.Like I said I get migraines everyday or almost everyday so I feel your pain.Lay down in a quiet room as dark as can be too,and rest.We want you to feel better.Excedrin Migraine helps too :).
