is it possible for post partum with an infant to affect the bonding you have with your child even when that child is older?

Yes, I agree. I have two boys and we found out we are pregnant again and it makes me nervous just for the sole purpose that I have bad PPD and it affects my whole family. My husband has a very hard time with it and it show in my children as well. It's hard and it's scary. But thank goodness that children are so forgiving.

I don't know who bad it is but Lexapro helped me and I also hear Cymbalta is good too. It worked for my sister. It's nothing to be ashamed about. Talk to yout doc. It's a lifesaver!

Absolutely! It sounds horrible but when you you have PPD, you are not yourself and its hard to connect with anyone. Make sure your husband is giving you support and helping you care for your other children.

Are you in the care of a doctor?
