Mom of 2 (17 months, 2 months) and I was at an ideal weight when I got pregnant with my first, I did Karate 6 hours a week, was in amazing shape overall. WIth my first pregnancy, I didn't really change my eating habits much, but I gained 65 pounds! When I finally started to shed the weight with my first (she was about 6 months old..) I got pregnant with #2, so never got back to my pre pregnancy weight.. I only gained about 20 pounds with my second, and didn't get back up to as high as with my first, which surprised me, thank goodness. Now i've got 32 pounds to go to get back to my ideal weight. I have NO time, but now that the snow is gone and the weather is nice, i've invested in a good jogging stroller and a good pair of shoes, and morning walks are going to be a regular thing. I wont jog yet, the little one is too young for the bumps and speed (and she can't wear a helmet). I've also 100% stopped eating out, thanks to my first daughter allergies, so cooking and baking my own food at home with healthy ingredients is making a HUGE difference and fast. Portion control is key, and eating slowly and drinking lots of water.. I hope to lose about 2-3 pounds a month to keep it healthy, and since I'm breastfeeding, it's not recommended to have any of those shakes or special cookies/diet bars, so i'm doing it the old fashion way. Multi grain toast or cereal for breakfast, an oatmeal or bran muffins for lunch and white meat and vegetables (and/or rice) for dinner. Very little salt on anything and fruits/vegetables for snacks, no dips!
