Hi,

They do it everywhere else in the world- do we do it here? I'm a SAHM & I was hoping to get info/enlist/create a play group that meets on average once a month so moms can have time to ask eachother questions while socialising our children.
Let me know if you're interested.

Hi everyone. I just moved to barbados in December 2012. I'm a sahm and have no family or close friends here and would love to join a group. I have a 7 month old boy and for some reason cannot find the group on FB.

Dear All

I have a 5 month old daughter and will be coming over to Barbados later in the year to stay with family for a few months. In London we have quite a few groups for first time mums and their babies and I was wondering if there were any in Barbados.

I see that you tried to set one up a while ago and was wondering how it went, and if it is still going on.

I am happy to try and set something up when I'm over there. It would be a great opportunity to get to meet other mums and socialise with people in the same boat. I was thinking that an afternoon group, say once every two weeks. A drop in for mums and their babies to have a chat, some food and just hang out.

Let me know your thoughts.

My little Ethan is 4 1/2 mths.
Good, I joined the group on FB. I really need some adult conversation other than his Daddy and work related talk.
I look forward to the start. I will send invites to a few of my friends as well.
Thank you for starting this..... I tried starting one through my Lamaze class, but I lost touch of everyone there and the instructor wasn't interested. They were the only people I knew with babies my son's age. My other friends with children have older children and well adjusted already. I just needed some others at the same stage of development as me to share my frustrations with. :o)

Weekend was my intention; either once or twice a month- nothing expesive; like a sometimes a play date at Silver Sands Park or Farley Hill, bring along some toys & the kids that kind of thing then maybe 6 months or so we cud have a mommy only dinner- thats what I was looking at? I'm going to get started on that plan today :) I do have a few friends you are interested and we do it from time to time. How old is your LO?

Hi Princessa Kalla,
Welcome to the group!!!
Funny enough, I started this circle in hopes that we could start something like that.
I dont know of any other groups in B'dos, but I would be very interested in attending if you want to start one.
I'm not a SAHM, but my work schedule is very flexible.
To accomodate most other moms, you might need to have the meetings on a weekend day.
