Since the last post in this group was August, I figure somebody should start up a new post.
I propose sharing our favorite things to do with our children during the daytime in Calgary.
I have a one year old son.
I like going to the zoo and going to mom's groups or meeting other moms for playdates/coffee.
I also love going to Market Mall and walking around.

I have discovered that driving out to Bragg Creek or Kananaskis for short walks is a lovely way to spend a warm winter day. I try to get a group of girlfriends and our babies together and we pull them in little sleds.

I live in the south also, so going for walks to the local shopping centres (when the weather cooperates of course!) and we frequent the zoo quite a bit - we have a zoo pass with a guest pass, so I can swindle some other moms to come with me for a free day ;) lol Also went to Heritage Park last summer, and hopefully my daughter will get a bit more out of it this summer (she just turned 1 a couple weeks ago). I'd like to check out the Science Centre.

I live in the NE and we have been to the zoo a few times as well. We also visit the Sunridge Mall since it has a great play area. Not sure yet if Devonian Gardens are up yet (construction closed it for awhile) but I used to bring my son there, it is kinda cool there too. Oh and sometimes we go to bookstores and sit and read.

I can't wait to go to Calaway Park with my son. Also Heritage Park will be fun with him this summer I think.

I have a 7 month old son, and we went to the Science center during christmas break. Although he is a little young, he still loved all the bright colors and all the other children. The malls are also a good place to spend time at. We live in the south, so Southcentre Mall is our place of choice. They are baby friendly with a family bathroom, plus a nice nursing room in the womens washroom! Always a bonus when companies think about people with children!
We went to Boo at the Zoo this year for Halloween (we dressed him up), I think the Zoo is a really great place to bring kids. I'm thankful to live in a great city with lot of activities to suit the needs of family & kids. The Calgary Tower, Glenbow museum, Heritage Park, Calaway Park, Zoo, Fort Calgary, all the Rec centers are just a few of many, many things to do in Calgary.
