Blessings, Lareashia! God is faithful and HE is well pleased with you and your husband's faithfulness! GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS is your Hymn! Amen! God sees you and LOVES hear you pray and sing! Keep going for your mighty blessing is on the way! You have 5 angels and they will be a huge blessing to the Body of Christ! Keep them anointed with oil and pray over them in the spirit at night! Oh its rough but through strength and prayer we continue to pursue Gods will. Me and my husband does ministry in nursing homes and with 5 girls we have a struggle. All I can say its been Gods grace

God is so good all the time! HE always supplies all our needs whether it's a babysitter, a unexpected singing engagement or a blessing from a man or woman of God who just comes up to us and tells God said to bless you and they had you money you never expected to receive!!! God knows what we can and cannot handle! God also appointed and anointed us for such a time as this to lead and sing Worship songs to usher in the Holy Spirit so that God can move in the sanctuary! Hallelujah! I thank you so much for sharing your testimony and may God continue to use you in a mighty way to minister in song and build the Body of Christ in these Last Days! Your anointing is a blessing to all who hear your voice so no matter how difficult it may seem when the congregation doesn't seem to respond or you feel fatigued from caring your unborn child and the pressures of LIFE just know that God is your strength, refuge and a strong tower in the time of storm! I t can be chaotic at times. Am also a worshipper and have a one year old son, pregnant and a University student. But i think when the ministry is your calling, God gives you the desire to go on and the strength you need to keep doing His work. I only stopped singing when i went to give birth and am also planning to sing till the day i deliver again. I hope not to loose my voice from the screaming this time around lol.

Thank you so much for your advice! It truly makes a difference when you have a supportive spouse...that's the key word here "supportive" spouse to work with you with the children and home duties. Many women who are married do not have that support and it really gets overwhelming. Dance Ministry Leadership is a leader and minister of dance! Interpretation is so important and if you don't get the time to listen to the lyrics of the song or the music to allow the Holy Spirit to you use to create choreography it can be hectic! Since you know what your issue is "organization" then you need to tackle that "demon" right at the horns and kill it! HAAA! If you can organize things for the school system then you can do it for you ministry which is DANCE! AMEN!;) I challenge you to be more diligent in creating a schedule and organizing your time as well as your families so that you can practice freely with organization. It's like having a mess desk and not being able to find anything that you are looking for at the time...you know what you are looking for is there but you take way too much time getting to it because you have to search for it. But if your desk was organized, cleaned and everything in it's place you can get right to business of finding was you need get it and use the item to move forward with your day, week, month, year...and in some instances LIFE! You will find once you are organization you will breathe a sigh of relief and everything will run like clockwork! Your children, husband and especially you will be very happy once you are organized!;) I'd love you know how your life has changed in 3 to 6 months from now! Blessings to you!~Queen Diva

I am not P&W leader per say b/c im the Dance Ministry leader. And yes the Sat practices take a toll on me not even taking into account i have a husband and a 4 yr old daughter to deal with at home also. I even practice at home for the sat practices an i encourage my girls to do the same thing. i guess my thing is organization espeially during the school year b/c i work for the school syatem here in CT. So i would say as encouragement to others to stay organized and stay in the word seekind HIS face and all will fall into place. Also if your married a supportive husband is a BIG help. My husband is a minister also so we work it out somehow I dont reallly know how but somehow someway it all just works

I totally understand what you are saying! It's so hard to balance being a mother, worship leader, servant, sister, daughter, friend etc. Especially when you have a young infant child. But nothing is impossible with God! AMEN! We do go through seasons and times when we put more attention on one thing than another but it's so important not to allow the season to filter into the next one. We should enjoy the season that we are in and enjoy it to the fullest but at the same time we must always make room to prepare for the next. Just like Summer into Fall...we know it's coming by the end of July and early August we have to begin to go in our clothes and get those Fall and Winter clothes ready for soon the weather will change. That is a fact and not fiction. While you are in this season of maternal bonding with your son try your best to make a schedule for God. You will find that you will be more at peace and ready to dive right in with your son's activities even when you haven't had enough sleep or to eat. Remember Jesus said HE is the bread of LIFE and we are to live our lives more ABUNDANTLY and how else can you live it more abundantly than making a choice to just start with 30 min a day with Jesus! It could be your lunchtime or dinner or breakfast or instead of watching your favorite tv show that is your time with Jesus. Before you know it you will see that you have more energy, peace, patience and love in your heart just by spending 30 minutes a day. I challenge you to make a schedule from the time you get up until you the time you go to sleep and see where you can have a mandatory "Time with Jesus" somewhere in your schedule. I think we have different seasons in our lives... and the season I find myself in is having a 9 month old boy with eczema and asthma. I'm also a worship leader at my church. I used to spend hours in preparation - both preparing the music and preparing my heart... but I'm just not able to do that now. I can't wake up early to prepare my heart when i've already been awake four or five times that night, I can't practice a song as many times as I used to, I don't always even have time to read my bible every day... but I really do believe that God knows the different seasons we go through and as long as we give the best we can, He will do the rest! I don't beat myself up for the lack of balance I have when it comes to family and worship leading. I think the problem comes if i get content in not preparing myself etc even when this season is over. I hope that makes sense...

Ministry is never in vain no matter if it is singing, teaching or preaching! You are an awesome woman of God and God is well pleased with your service and commitment! Wow! Its rough. I have a a 5 month old and I am a praise and worship singer. In my church if you are in P&W I have to go to all bible studies, Choir rehersals and Band rehearsals. fortunately I only have one but when my step children are here I take them all to rehearsal with me. I try to prepare my meals for the week and I pray pray pray. Fortunately my older step child is a responsible child and can help with heating TV dinners on nights when we have to be late at the church. But it is hard. Seek God and he will give you strength and peace

i used to be a worship leader in my church in Virginia. i just want to share for all the mom in ministry, it's all happened when i was pregnant with my daughter... i still worship leading when i was pregnant until about 9months old. when my daughter's turned 2 she loves to sing..specially all the songs from the church,she said she's going to be a worship leader like her mom, i'm very happy and thankful to God for giving me this wonderful girl. My husband said it's all because of what i taught her when she was in my tummy, i was fed her soul with the beautiful songs of praise and worship! now, my daughter is 9years old and she loves to praise & worship the Lord and she has a beautiful voice, she is a great worshiper! Praise the Lord!

Blessings Emily! I forgot I started this conversation since I didn't get a response since I started it in December 2009! Minister means "to serve." Some music leaders are also called ministers of music and not necessarily "the" Minister of Music for the church but minister through song or instruments. A servant leader is a leader that is usually selected by the Pastor and/or Director of Ministries of a church to lead a ministry. I'm so happy that you answered my question! I am a single mom with a 12 year old daughter who will be 13 in two months! She's an angel and doesn't give me any problems but I do detect some resistance that tries to rise up in her! I just rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus and speak right to it and tell it that we are not allowing that in this house! In this house we serve God in complete obedience and rebellion will be sent back to the pit of Hell where it belongs! Glory to God! LOL! I pray over my daughter from time to time in her sleep in the spirit and anoint her head with extra virgin olive oil to keep peace in her spirit too. I am truly blessed! I just got my appointment as Praise Team leader at a church that is a satellite church of a mega church out of Atlanta here in Houston. We are right at the beginning of structuring the praise team. I've been a leader since January but we still haven't sung a note before the congregation because we have to get the okay from the headquarter church Minister of Music to begin. My challenge has been keeping the morale of the praise team members and motivated to still practice their songs and to be ready in season and out of season. I love singing for the Lord and I love motivating God's people! I pray for strength and patience always! Thanks again for your response! Let's stay connected! Shalom-Queen Diva

well I don't know what a minister and servant leader is but I am a praise and worship leader. I started on our worship team when I was 18 and just stepped down when our second child was born. I do however still lead the worship for the ladies bible study. I just try and make sure to stay super organized and in prayer. Without the Lord I wouldn't be able to do it. Mind you I only lead worship once a week so it is not that much however any time away from the home means I have to get a little more organized so I can keep the house in order and the kiddos cared for. I have a list on my fridge of daily cleaning so I don't have to do it all in one day, it is spread out through out the week. As far as patience with the kids, it is only by the Lord because I struggle daily with that. I notice that if I am not in the word, in prayer and calling on the name of the Lord than my patience level is almost non existant. Just keep praying, if the Lord is calling you to stay in the worship ministry He will make it work. I knew that it was time for me to step down from the Sunday morning, evening, and wednesday evening worship because things were just too stressful and I felt the peace of the Lord take over when I made the decision to step down. God is good and will give you that peace either way if you are seeking Him and are in His will! The Lord bless You!
