I am a new mom, baby born October, just wondering what you have done to keep busy with your baby while on mat leave?? anything you really enjoyed that you recommend??

I'ma stay at homr mom plus a run a day care. It 's more easy in the summer to go out with the kids for walk and play outside.

Play dates! You're in Orleans so head off to the Early Years Centre in the plaza next to Place D'Orleans. Their infant drop in is every Tuesday from 115 to 245 and includes play and social time with the last 30 minutes with structured play with the workers there. I loved going! Now my lil guy is 19 months so we occasionally go to the 0-6 years morning drop in 9-11am.



Also, get onto www.meetups.com and look for the group OPCU - ottawa parents and children unite! There are play dates all over the city.



Of course if you want to stay in, you will have to learn some games to play with baby like peek a boo, patty cake, sing songs with your baby, tell stories.



If you want to get together, I will be available through January and February on Tuesdays and Thursdays.



Oh and how could I forget? Want your pre-baby body back? Boomerang Kids does Strollersize all year long (unless it's too hot or too cold). Bring stroller and baby and go for a walk or jog with other moms and get some fresh air.
