Hi everyone! I'm a 25 year old first time mother. I have a 2 month old son. I currently run a company out of my home, but I'm going to be starting grad school in June 2009, when my son is 8 months old! Luckily, my husband is an artist and has a studio space out of home.
Everyone's been warning us that it will be extremely difficult, and several people have suggested that I put off going to grad school.
Before I start school, it would be really helpful to hear from other moms who are doing the same and what your experiences have been!

Thanks,
Netra

I started grad school when I was pregnant with my daughter (she is 9 months now) and I will tell you there are times when I don't have any idea how I am going to get all I need to get done finished and it is hard...but you know what, it is totally doable. I find that time management has become really important. I try to use nap time really well. Also, sometimes I find that it is very important to ask for someone to play with her for 30 minutes so I can read a little or something. I also only take 2 classes a semester which will take a while to finish but allows me to not be quite as stressed...

I find it is really important to remember that although one of you most important roles is that of a mother, it is also important to follow your bliss, don't get bogged down with people that say you can't do something.
